FACILITIES OPERATIONS TEAM MEMBER

DEPARTMENT:                     FACILITIES OPERATIONS  

REPORTS TO:                       FACILITIES MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR AND/OR M.O.D.

STATUS:                                PART- TIME (NON-EXEMPT)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Facilities Operations Team Member is responsible for executing the day-to-day tasks of cleanliness (custodial) and grounds and building set-up/breakdown activities – ensuring a best-in-class standard for the facility appearance, cleanliness, functionality, and guest/member satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include:

Customer Service

  • Greet all members and guests with a smile and hello
  • Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and staff
  • Be knowledgeable about prices, leagues, and events
  • Resolve all guest concerns and complaints and/or direct to appropriate Manager
  • Ensure facility and equipment are clean, clutter-free, and safe
  • Assist with member check-in process

Facility Maintenance and Operation

  • Perform daily cleaning and disinfecting routines according to the Cleaning Checklist and Cleaning Schedule
  • Maintain exterior brand and impressions by sweeping and picking-up debris
  • Assist with special maintenance and organization projects as directed and needed
  • Assist with event set-up and breakdown according to the daily facility activities calendar
  • Ensure correct equipment is available for games, and proper set up of all play areas
  • Ensure games and activities start and end on time
  • Monitor play areas including turf and courts
  • Keep supervisor informed of issues and updates
  • Assist other departments as necessary
  • Respond to all incidents, accidents, injuries, and altercations. Complete and file corresponding paperwork as necessary
  • Know and enforce the facility’s policies, procedures, and rules

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Have the ability to work with a wide variety of ages from pre-school thru adult
  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays and long hours) and regular attendance necessary
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent guest service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situations
  • Must be respectful and friendly to our athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, leaders and fellow Team Members
  • Must work well with others
  • Must take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and facility
  • Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of others

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds’ waist high
  • Will be required to stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to enter information on computers
  • Facility has intermittent noise

PREFERRED

  • Have a basic understanding of sports
  • Experience with general maintenance and cleaning
