Able to attend 90 minutes at the same time each of the 5 days of camp (15 minutes of pre-session meeting/training)

Able and willing to get some exercise (light jogging/running) for a great cause!

PICKLEBALL BOOTCAMPS
BEGINNER LEVEL 1: For new players wanting to learn the fundamentals of Pickleball.
All clinics are managed by one of our IPTPA or
Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) Certified PB Instructors.
The Tuesday Evening 5-Week session includes a total of 10 hours of
instructional court time in 5 on-court 2-hour training sessions.
For New/Beginner players, evaluation and assessment covering the
FUNdamentals and rules regarding matchplay. Players will be introduced to
the 3-D’s of Pickleball: How to Serve (legal vs. illegal serves), How to Return Serves, Transitioning to the “Kitchen” (no volley zone), Dinking and Scoring while you play.

NYA KING/QUEEEN LADDER LEAGUE
This is a 6-week competitive league for Intermediate/Advanced Levels of Play (2.5 to 3.5+)
where participants will moveup and down the “ladder” according to the following format:

Week 1 players will be assigned random numbers and play 6 games with different partners.

Weeks 2-6 players will be put in (2) tiers, Upper and Lower, based on week 1 performances (12 players in Upper and 8 players in Lower).

Participants will play a total of 6 games a night. The top 8 players in the Upper tier will stay there for the next week’s session. The bottom 4 players will move to the Lower tier for the following week.
The bottom 4 players will move to the Lower tierfor the following week.

The Lower tier will have 8 players each week.
The top 4 preforming players will move up to the Upper tier the following week.

Standings will be posted each week.

LEVEL 2: For players who can keep score, rally, and serve.

The Saturday Level 2 Bootcamps are 1 Day, 4-hour clinics where players will
build on their fundamentals through drills,games, and matchplay.
These bootcamps are an ideal progression for players who have completed
the Level 1 Beginner Bootcamps.

HIGH SCHOOL
The High School program runs 2x per week and is structured as 1-hour open gym and 1-hour instructional clinic, each day.

NYA VOLLEYBALL CLUB
The NYA Volleyball Club program is broken into Middle School (grades 6 – 8) and High School (grades 9 – 12). The Club is intended to provide instruction to both new and developing volleyball players in a fun supportive environment. Participation is open to individuals from surrounding towns and students Grade 6 at Reed Intermediate School. Bus transportation is available from Newtown Middle School and Newtown High School to the NYA for participants.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
The Middle School program consists of a 90-minute session on Wednesdays where young players will be introduced to the game of volleyball through skill instruction and game play.

JUNIORS MATCH PLAY/HS PREP- YELLOW BALL
This class is designed for advanced beginner/intermediate players looking to improve their game play experience & strategy development in preparation for high school team tennis.
Participants must have the ability to keep the ball in play demonstrating
solid forehand, backhand, volley, and service strokes.
Who: Yellow Ball Level Boys & Girls Grades 7 - 8
