Ed Randall's Wiffle Ball Tournament was a HIT!
On Tuesday September 17, 2013, Ed Randall, longtime New York radio & TV personality and published author, and founder of Ed Randall’s Fans for the Cure (www.fans4thecure.org), hosted an All-Star wiffle ball tournament at Newtown, CT based NYA Sports & Fitness Center (nyasportsfitness.com). The tournament raiseed money to support awareness of prostate cancer and to educate the American people about cutting edge techniques in treatment, prevention and detection. Some former MLB All-stars that attended the tournament included Doug Glanville, who played for the Philadelphia Phillies and is now also a current ESPN analyst; and, Willie Upshaw, Bridgeport Bluefish manager, and Toronto Blue Jay alumna.
The All-stars had a great time with the teams, youth and adult! Donations came from both local and regional retailers, including The Wiffle Ball®, who is providing all supplies for this event!
